My Name is Emma Hollis James I am a ‘Maaaami’ to two children and a Yorkshire Terrier called Alffi. My husband and I live in the beautiful Welsh village of Brynamman at the foot of the black mountains. I am a fluent Welsh speaker, although sadly my Welsh writing skills aren’t what they used to be. In my spare time I love listening to music, binge watching on series, obsessing over a book, kayaking, biking and camping in our Motorhome Cledwyn. My absolute favourite thing to do is spending time with family and friends laughing and reminiscing.

In 2005 I graduated from the Uiversity of Wales Trinity Carmarthen with a degree in B.A Joint Honours in Advertising and Marketing. From here I went to work for 11 years at the South West Wales Media (Evening Post, Llanelli Star and Carmarthen Journal) working on their Newspapers, Magazines, Websites and designing their Events artwork. In 2015 I decided to go freelance designing artwork for JR Events where I worked for 7 years designing artwork for Wedding Fayres, Food and Drink festivals, Brangwyn themed evenings and in house promotional materials. In addition to this helping other wonderful local little business get their businesses up and running, looking amazing, affordably without lacking on design and bringing my experience on board.

In 2015 whilst on maternity leave with my second very easy and relaxed child i found time on my hands (very different to my first baby). I was still able to work on freelance projects and found myself designing Welsh prints for my son and daughters’ bedrooms. After searching high and low for affordable friendly Welsh artwork and coming up empty one night. Yes you guessed it - Geiriau o’r Galon was born. I started doing prints and cards for family and friends, school auction evenings and craft fayres. I absolutely loved getting out and chatting and meeting to lovely people. In 2016 my husband built me the garden studio so that I could work close to home yet not take over the dining room. From here I now design, print and package my prints, cards and notebooks.

Geiriau o’r Galon has over 300 Welsh Card designs for any occasion, lots of beautiful inspirational prints, over 50 notebook/diary front cover designs all waiting to be personalised with your details, with lots and lots of new designs being added to this website monthly. In addition, we have lots of product ideas planned for the future that I can’t wait to show off. The future of businesses is very unknow in this current climate, with lots unable to continue. As a family we are ever so thankful to each and every one that has supported us over the years – we are here to stay, plodding along and enjoying the journey. DIOLCH - THANK YOU
